Which laws do we have to abide by? What is conformity, what is resistance? Is there anything out there worth fighting for? Antigone, a young woman, defies King Creon, who has just assumed the throne. She buries her brother even though doing so is forbidden by penalty of death. But without funeral rites her brother, a fallen warrior, would not be able to enter the underworld and his soul would not find peace. King Creon, who also happens to be her uncle, gives Antigone the opportunity to cover up what she has done, but she refuses to renounce it.

" (...) a modern parable about power: fairytale-like in its reduction and symbolic language, though quite modern in terms of directness."
